Game on
We’re planning a Scrabble Olympics.
We’ve sorted the process and defined the rules.
The hardest bit is which players to invite.
A lot of our friends and family play scrabble.
But not all play to the same standard.
Who to invite without offending….🤔

Contrary to our scrabble round robin, you can’t always pick and choose your fellow players in a team or on a project.
Internal, external or a mixture of both.
You’ve got to work with ‘who’ you’ve got.
And everything they bring with them:
🔸 Individual objectives along with the shared goal that brings you together.
🔸 Different communication styles.
🔸 Contrasting ways of working.
🔸 Varying degrees of knowledge.
🔸 Specialised expertise.
If you’re a regular reader, you’ll have heard me rave about the benefit of connecting before collaborating.
But what if your motley crew of ‘who’ needs to get started on their ‘what’? Right now!
You simply have no time for people to connect and get to know each other first.
Reality bites, as Winona and Ethan found out*.

Good news. You can do both at the same time.
Bad news. A simple brainstorm won’t cut it.
It takes a well-structured and facilitated process with a strong track record.
Like my Game for Solutions (yep, shameless plug 😊).
You’ve got your who – 10 to 30 people.
You’ve got a truckload of challenges and opportunities on your plate.
And you’ve got to get started.
Give Game for Solutions a go. Here’s what a few have said:
“…having to work together seemed to build trust.”
“The real-world content gave it meaning.”
“We were so focused, a well-oiled machine.”
“We came up with stuff I would have never have thought of on my own.”
If your motley crew can do one or more of the following, you can play.
✔ Read
✔ Listen
✔ Talk
✔ Hold a pen
✔ Write
✔ Dictate
✔ Think
✔ Coach
✔ Question
✔ Laugh
And nobody needs to be good at Scrabble.

Stay (fl)awesome!
